This position monitors the functions of the packaging and palletizing equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment, allowing continuous line flow and packaging to meet customer demands. The role includes performing routine preventative maintenance as well as unplanned repairs while supporting operations.

• Perform maintenance work, repair, and adjustment of equipment; change and replace belts, pulleys, sprockets, bearings, chains, motors and general maintenance on other specialty equipment unique to packaging.
• Understand and explain the purpose and operation of all equipment in the packaging area and make decisions on appropriate troubleshooting and repair.
• Diagnose and repair problems with valves, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
• Read operating instructions and maintenance manuals to perform repairs.
• Update CMMS with status and details of work order results daily.
• Perform non‑routine maintenance jobs as assigned.
• Maintain organized work spaces, tools, support 5S, centerlining, and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Lock‑out/Tag‑out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are required.
• Experience performing maintenance in a manufacturing environment, specifically food processing highly preferred.
• Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
• Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Reasoning ability: apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations.

• Lift up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
• Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold.
• Exposure to manufacturing conditions: loud noise, excess heat/cold, wet, slippery, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells, allergens.
• Repeat arm, wrist and hand movements; work with hands and arms overhead and in or under equipment.
• Manual dexterity, coordination, balance for ground and elevated work.
• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Exposure to temperatures ranging from –20 °F to 35 °F in Freezer Operation and 37 °F to 90 °F in Plant Operation.
• Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders regularly.
