- Operate and control process units and equipment both in the field and from the control station to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations.
- Monitor plant performance for efficiency, proactively identifying and anticipating issues before they arise.
- Coordinate work requests, permits, and equipment isolations, ensuring safe return to normal operations.
- Provide frontline communication to customers and facility management regarding product and process conditions and supply status.
- Maintain production records and implement standard operating procedures for starting and stopping major equipment to maintain reliability and prevent delays.
- Exercise sound judgment when making process decisions within established boundaries and contribute to improving and updating standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to personal safety, environmental accountability, and adherence to all safety programs and requirements.
- Wear required personal protective equipment, comply with lockout and tagout policy, and issue, monitor, and close out safe work and confined space permits.
- Be knowledgeable and practiced in all emergency procedures while supporting safety initiatives such as safety inspections, incident reporting, and behavior‑based safety programs.
- Assist in the development and execution of safe standard operating procedures, work a rotating schedule with on‑call responsibilities, and support shift coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain facility housekeeping, participate in turnaround planning and execution, and assist with routine maintenance and process safety management activities.
- Maintain training compliance.
- Ensure a reliable and safety‑focused presence during critical operational periods.
- Meet the physical requirements of the role, including confined space entry, climbing, lifting up to fifty pounds, and working at heights.
- Be available to work extended hours when business needs arise.
- Have flexibility to support weekend, holiday, and on‑call coverage.
- Read technical drawings such as P&IDs and electrical one‑line diagrams.
- Have foundational knowledge of physics, chemistry, heat transfer, fluid flow dynamics, mechanical, and electrical theories.
- Be proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ability to learn internal systems.
Pay commensurate with experience. Open to salary range $77,935 - $85,728.5.
