Bring your experience with general landscaping and minor repairs to support the Facilities group maintaining grounds and playgrounds for early childhood education programs. We have 12 sites throughout Clackamas County. Supports the Facilities Management team to conduct day‑to‑day facilities functions including landscaping, minor construction and renovation projects, repairs, replacements, inspections, moving furniture and supplies, and related duties in compliance with safety protocols, applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies.

Bilingual add to pay of $.35/hour
Essential Functions- Perform landscaping duties at Centers, make recommendations to Facilities Manager for improvements. Duties include mowing, trimming, planting, re‑planting, foliage/rock/tree assembly, irrigation equipment maintenance, bioswale/storm drain maintenance, playground maintenance, and cleanliness for licensing compliance.
- Maintain assigned facilities and landscaping equipment per schedule.
- Complete assigned internal work order requests and follow department communication procedure, maintaining status updates until completion.
- Collaborate and communicate with CCCC staff, vendors, contractors, and community partners on projects related to facilities and maintenance.
- Take the lead on ensuring projects are executed effectively with vendors and contractors under direction of the Facilities Manager.
- Perform minor handyperson repairs or replacements, including basic framing, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, and bulb replacement.
- Move office and classroom furniture/supplies within and between centers and other agency facilities to support staff changes, remodels, and program expansion.
- Arrive to work on time; punctually attend and actively participate in all required activities, meetings, and trainings.
- Be respectful, cooperative, and reliable; project a professional work image.
- Be familiar with, and adhere to, position‑related policies and procedures, and agency objectives.
- Follow agency policy for reporting and documenting suspected child abuse and/or neglect.

RequirementsEducation and Experience
- High School diploma/GED or equivalence, or ability to obtain GED within 18 months.
- Competent in the use of basic landscaping, construction, and maintenance tools.
- Minimum one year of landscaping and/or handyperson experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge in landscaping duties and repair/maintenance of related equipment; minor plumbing and electrical abilities are a plus.
- Effective communication with co‑workers, vendors, clients, and community members.
- Operate computer and cell phone for communication, project management, data entry, and timekeeping.
