Maintenance Generalist

Job Overview

Home Forward is hiring two Maintenance Generalists to support a portfolio of Home Forward properties. The Maintenance Generalist will perform a wide range of manual labor tasks to keep apartment communities clean, efficient, and assets to their neighborhoods. The incumbent will collaborate with others at all levels of the organization. One position will support the Humboldt Gardens property; the other will provide floating support to additional properties.

• Perform maintenance tasks to ensure properties remain clean, functional, and welcoming.
• Collaborate with property staff, leadership, and union representatives to achieve operational objectives.
• Support multiple properties, including floating assignments as needed.

• One (1) year of customer service, janitorial, groundskeeping, landscaping, or building trades experience.
• Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license within a 12‑month period.
• Membership or ability to become a member of the appropriate union of the Building Trades Council.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
