Custodian - West Desert Schools

Terms of Employment:

• $17.70/Hour
• 12 Months/Year
• Up to 29 Hours/Week
• Monday-Friday, dependent on school activity schedule, may work some Saturdays

Description:

Classified custodial position performing routine cleaning activities and preparing facilities for daily activities and special events associated with the West Desert schools as assigned by the building administrator and/or the Maintenance Technician. Other duties may include grounds upkeep, performing minor repairs, site snow removal as needed, cleaning assigned facilities and/or grounds, summer cleaning and maintenance (e.g. stripping and waxing floors, moving furniture, painting, etc.)

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• BCI background check and clearance (provided by District)
