Position: Blower of Recycled Glass (Temporary)

Storyteller Canyon Operating Company, LLC dba Sundance Mountain Resort in Sundance, UT, seeks three Blowers of Recycled Glasses for temporary, full‑time employment from June 1 2026 to March 31 2027.

Duties

Shape gather (gob of molten glass) into glassware using recycled glass. Blow through pipe to inflate gather while rotating pipe or mold or on board to obtain final shape. May dip the end of the blower into molten glass to collect gather on head of pipe. May pull gather with tongs to aid in shaping. May use compressed air to inflate gather.

Preparation and clean‑up required.

Hours

35+ hours per week. Eight‑hour shifts between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, five days per week (Sunday through Saturday). Overtime is possible; overtime rates vary.

8841 N. Alpine Loop Road, Sundance, Utah 84604.

Experience

12 months of experience blowing recycled glass required. On‑the‑job training will not be provided.

Must provide a sample of work (photographs or portfolio accepted).

Wage Information

$20.26 per hour; overtime $30.39 per hour. Workers will be paid no less than the listed wage. Employer may pay higher rates based on seniority and skill level. Overtime hours may vary.

Employer Assurances Pursuant to 20 CFR 655.20
  • Single work week used in computing wages due.
  • Wages paid bi‑weekly.
  • Work tools, supplies, and equipment provided without cost to employee.
  • Employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law and any non‑legally required payroll deductions permitted under the law and requested by employee.
  • Employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from place of recruitment to place of work. Employer will issue reimbursement within the first workweek when required to meet FLSA minimum wage obligations. Upon completion of the work contract or if the worker is dismissed earlier and has no immediately subsequent H‑2B employment, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed for work.

    The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
  • Employer will reimburse worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
  • The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three‑quarters of the workdays in each 12‑week period of the total employment period.
