Position: Grounds Maintenance and Custodial Worker (University Place--part of Woodbury Corporation)
University Place in Orem, UT is hiring for general building and grounds maintenance positions. Person must be knowledgeable about general building maintenance with some some knowledge in few of the following areas:
Electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, HVAC repair, vehicle and equipment maintenance, welding and fabricating, and sprinkler and landscape repair. Person must be handy and have a basic knowledge and ability to repair buildings and exterior grounds improvements. An understanding of general building construction would be helpful. Person must be physically able to lift, climb ladders, use hand tools, operate equipment safely, and have a drivers license.
Full time position with benefits.
Summary of Duties

• Keep grounds free of debris and assist with snow removal as needed.
• Maintain property vehicles and equipment.
• Performs and/or monitors maintenance and preventative maintenance projects. Responds to building-related safety concerns.
• The position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday through Saturday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be dependable.
• Technical certifications in electrical and plumber or other related fields are a plus.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
• Must possess the knowledge and ability to utilize basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
• Punctuality and regular and reliable work attendance.
• Must have valid drivers license and good driving record.
• All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided).
