Job Details
Design Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer – University Park, IL (100% on-site; hybrid flexibility to follow).
Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 per year.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and improve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components and systems. Serve as the link between product design and production, supporting new product development and continuous improvement of existing equipment and systems.
Qualifications- 2+ years of Design Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering experience involving pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Excited to work on the shop floor with technicians on redesigns.
- Fundamental knowledge of reverse engineering and reengineering.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) required.
- Solid Works proficiency, with experience in product data management and ERP systems.
- Previous experience with troubleshooting, problem‑solving, teamwork and strong communication skills essential.
- Knowledge of FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, Value Engineering, and Six Sigma a plus.
- $1,000 sign‑on bonus.
