Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000
The pay range is based on consideration of criteria such as required qualifications, experience, education and skills. Marquette Bank reserves the right to offer the selected applicant a salary commensurate with the applicant's qualification, experience, education and skills.
Position Summary:
The Funding and Post Closing Manager Officer is responsible for their team completing activities related to the funding of all commercial and consumer loan fundings and managing the residential loan process from closing through funding, and delivery to investors. This role ensures compliance, accuracy, and timely execution of all fundings and post-closing activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Validate funding desk requests meet bank requirements before facilitating all loan disbursements and wires.
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly general ledger balancing over multiple accounts.
- Compile monthly reports for management.
- Manage the flow of residential loans from closing, funding, delivery to investors, and sale or booking of loans.
- Monitor loans to ensure timely submission to title companies and investors to meet funding and lock expiration dates.
- Clear deficiencies, collaborate with Operations to obtain necessary documents.
- Obtain purchase advice from all investors and verify accuracy of payments received.
- Collect and track first payments. Manage PMI, taxes, and payments due until loans are purchased by investors and balance final remittance.
- Facilitate all appraisal ordering and fee tracking for residential real estate loans.
- Involvement in the Grant process to initiate, process, and submit documentation.
- Respond to all FNMA data requests and investor stipulations for documents.
- Monitor MERS system to ensure all loans are entered and transferred properly.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity initiatives as assigned.
- Oversee and manage staff. Review work product and performance.
- Actively comply with all applicable laws and regulations to include the Bank Secrecy Act, HMDA, Community Reinvestment Act, and all other deposit, lending, or non-deposit service regulations; adhering to the Bank's internal policies, procedures, and risk management responsibilities contained in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Code of Conduct, and other applicable policies.
- Perform job-related responsibilities that support departmental and organizational goals, consistent with the scope and purpose of the position.
Knowledge/Abilities/Experience and Training
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred or certification in Business Finance or Real Estate Lending.
- Minimum 7-10 years' experience with residential real estate loans.
- Officer/AVP level position with prior management experience required.
- Experienced user of Encompass platform required.
- Working knowledge of bank operations, systems, and regulatory guidelines.
- Self-motivated and willingness to implement changes to improve bank performance.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Team-oriented.
- Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks under time constraints.
- Good customer service skills.
- Demonstrates an ability to handle difficult and sensitive business situations.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
