Repair and Tool Technician

Overview

The Home Depot is seeking a Repair and Tool Technician. This role involves evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. The position may be based in store Tool Rental Centers or repair centers. In-store technicians service store customers in Tool Rental, including writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, and ensuring tools operate properly and are demonstrated as needed.

In non-store locations, technicians repair units, test for repair quality, and clean before returning to the originating store. The role requires thorough knowledge of tools and effective inventory management to maintain and repair tools.

Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $18.00/hr this range is provided by The Home Depot; your actual pay will be based on skills and experience.

• Evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices.
• Make equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained.
• Provide service to store customers in Tool Rental, including writing contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, checking tool operation, and demonstrating proper use when needed.
• Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the Tool Rental department.
• In non-store locations, ensure units are repaired, tested for quality, and cleaned prior to returning to the originating store.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all tools and effectively manage the tool inventory by repairing and maintaining tools as necessary.
