Position Overview

As an entry‑level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. Meijer Courtesy Team Members enjoy interacting with people and know what ‘above and beyond’ customer service means.

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect parking lot, lawn, and inside‑store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment to properly remove snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Assist in departments:
  Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.

• Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product or using equipment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

We offer competitive pay that reflects market standards and ensures consistency within our organization. The step pay plan generally starts at $15.00, with raises occurring after predetermined hours worked. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job’s location.
