Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician

• Deliver effective, efficient, and timely facility maintenance services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory
• Travel in a company van to various customer sites to maintain commercial properties
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds
• Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including unclogging toilets and drains, repairing leaks, and replacing fixtures
• Perform routine painting and carpentry work to maintain client facilities
• Perform minor electrical maintenance as permitted by state law
• Complete service inspections and asset inspections
• Access and complete work orders using tablets and smartphones
• Create and submit service reports and quality inspection images and reports
• Submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs
• Obtain materials and supplies required for tasks
• Maintain positive customer relationships and communicate with customers and internal support teams
• Complete required safety and compliance training and attend weekly safety meetings
• Provide estimates for larger projects and services needed by onsite customers
• Complete assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance

• HS diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc), or Specialty Floor Care, preferred
• Two (2) to Five (5) years mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry required; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
• Related work experience in one or more of the building trades
• Applicable certifications and licenses
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including safety policies and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations
• Ability to complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and communicate work order status
• Ability to use handheld devices and business systems or document management database software
• Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel;
  Lotus Notes
• Compliance with applicable building, regulatory, governmental, company, OSHA, and safety requirements
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to perform daily local travel between properties
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Ability to drive a company vehicle daily
• Ability to use required safety equipment and comply with lock-out/tag-out and HAZCOM guidelines

Demonstrates expertise in facility maintenance, including preventive and corrective repairs across mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Proficient in using handheld devices for work order management and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
