Role Summary

As a Sr. Warehouse Associate, you will be a subject‑matter expert in service parts material handling across inbound, outbound, inventory, and repackaging activities. You will ensure the safe, accurate, and timely flow of service parts—including made‑in‑house materials and emergency backorders—through the Normal campus. Beyond standard execution, you will foster a safe environment and drive continuous improvement (LEAN) initiatives to keep our service network running at peak efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles; pick, pack, and stage transfer part orders from Production to Service PDCs and Service Centers.
  • Move materials into service‑ready packaging and perform made‑in‑house repack operations, including packaging body, plastics, and propulsion parts.
  • Utilize gantry crane to package propulsion parts into ship‑ready crates.
  • Manage the loading/unloading of internal shuttle movements between campus sites.
  • Utilize SAP/EWM to confirm tasks, ensuring physical inventory matches system storage locations.
  • Protect outbound shipping quality to ensure the network achieves excellence; identify and log discrepancies accordingly.
  • Operate several types of powered industrial equipment (PIT), including sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts.
  • Apply LEAN practices (5S, waste identification) and lead or participate in continuous improvement projects (Kaizens) to optimize repack and shipping flows.
  • Strictly follow EHS and Dangerous Goods (DG) guidelines; utilize proper lifting techniques and PPE at all times.
  • Understand, utilize, and provide feedback on Standard Work Sheets (SWS) and training checklists.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or other recognized high‑school equivalency credential preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience performing picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operating in a warehouse or distribution center environment (preferred).
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment (automotive preferred).
  • Experience with powered industrial equipment (PIT).
  • Understanding and compliance with PPE guidelines.
  • Physical requirement to step up and down off of MHE repeatedly.
  • Ability to stand for 8–12 hours per day and repetitively lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stoop and kneel to retrieve materials up to 50 lbs. under select racking or floor pile locations.
  • Experience performing duties in environments that may contain dust, high noise, hot and cold weather.
  • Comfortable operating a gantry crane or lift assist.
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience and understanding of utilizing a RF hand‑held scanner.
  • Prior experience with Dangerous Goods (DG) or battery pack handling preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP/EWM or similar enterprise‑grade WMS.
  • Knowledge of LEAN practices (5S, waste identification, process improvements).
  • Led or participated in a continuous improvement project.
  • Rotation between different job sites; flexibility to work various locations.
  • Commitment to a flexible schedule, requiring early arrival or late departure, occasional weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Strong communication skills using telephone or email.
Pay Disclosure

The salary range for this role is $25.70–$28.56 per hour for Normal, Illinois‑based applicants. The salary within the range will be based on factors including specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual performance bonus.
