SummaryThe Equipment Maintenance Technician performs scheduled and non-scheduled daily tasks, maintaining awareness of all equipment assigned during production operations to ensure efficient operation within a commercial laundry plant. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, emergent repairs, and troubleshooting issues such as jams, belt problems, and tape issues on assigned equipment. Technical assistance from Engineering is sought as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently or with others; willing to go the extra mile; self-motivated, prompt, and able to handle tasks proactively; strong communication skills.
- Ability to operate tools and equipment safely, understanding safety procedures such as lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and working on hot equipment; maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Good working knowledge of machinery, including mechanical drive systems, conveyor systems, and overhead rail systems, and ability to assist in their repair and maintenance.
