The Industrial Mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs as scheduled or required in order to attain maximum productivity and functionality in plant operations. The employee in this role must have strong communication, observational, and operational skills with an unbending focus on safety.

• Responsibly follow all procedures & policies with regard to repairs & maintenance.
• Responsible to complete assigned tasks and projects in a highly effective, efficient, and safe manner.
• Supports high performance in a professional healthcare & hospitality laundry environment through cleanliness and infection prevention.
• Works in conjunction with operations to keep equipment operating at a high level of efficiency.
• Ability to troubleshoot any mechanical, electrical and plumbing problems.
• Projects and tasks may include, but are not limited to:
• Industrial equipment repair and/or maintenance.
• Construction type tasks (painting, patching holes, etc.).
• Electrical.
• Plumbing.
• Electronics.

• Problem solving – having the ability to identify problems and issues of varying complexities and to find effective solutions with few guidelines.
• Attention to detail – taking responsibility for a thorough and detailed method of working.
• Initiative – spotting opportunities within a circle of influence; anticipating threats and acting on them; self-starting rather than waiting passively until the situation demands action.

• Ability to effectively complete mechanical or electrical tasks in an industrial environment.
• Must exhibit self‑initiative, accountability, flexibility.

• Position is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Position is regularly required to walk, sit, climb or balance, talk and hear.
• Position is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

• The working environment is typical of an industrial facility including noise and vibration. An employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. Personal protective equipment will be required for certain tasks.
