Position Overview
The Floorcare Technician will clean and maintain carpet and floor surfaces, ensuring amenities meet quality and timeliness standards. The technician must follow company values, maintain equipment, and provide guest service.
Responsibilities- Inspect all areas for damage and stains prior to cleaning.
- Select appropriate cleaning method based on condition.
- Vacuum loose dirt and debris.
- Pre‑treat stains as needed.
- Walk assigned buildings or floors ensuring readiness for occupancy.
- Report unit maintenance issues per company procedure.
- Lifting and moving furniture as needed.
- Use carpet cleaning equipment and maintain it daily.
- Store chemicals in approved area.
- Maintain organization of storage closets.
- Operate company‑owned vehicles safely.
- Demonstrate urgency to complete duties on time.
- Be punctual with assignments and appointments.
- Use supplies and equipment efficiently.
- Perform inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Assist in handling and resolving guest complaints promptly.
- Create strong positive customer relations, assisting resort guests and owners.
- Maintain knowledge of resort locations and operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 18 months of full‑time experience in a related role.
- Prefer experience with stripping/waxing floors.
- Carpet cleaning experience.
- Must be trained thoroughly before working: mentor/trainer approval required before working alone.
- Must be well‑versed on chemicals and their use.
The position frequently requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, moving, lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, reaching, occasional ascending/descending, and repetitive motions. Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for employees with disabilities.
