Utility Clerk Part Time

Job Summary

Any two weekdays and Saturday or Sunday between 10:30am and 5:00pm. Responsible for performing general maintenance and cleaning duties, maintaining high standards of safety and sanitation for members and team members.

• Maintain cleanliness of all club areas including sales floor, offices, restrooms, and outdoor grounds.
• Gather and return carts and flatbeds from parking lot to club entrance, ensuring carts are in working order and clean.
• Remove trash or debris from the parking lot, cart corrals, and exterior of the club.
• Operate floor scrubber, trash compactor, and cardboard baler machines safely.
• Restock maintenance and cleaning supplies and keep supply areas clean, neat, and organized.
• Perform minor and routine building repairs and notify management when major repairs are required.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Provide prompt and courteous service and assistance to members.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for members and team members.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• May be less than 18 years of age to perform parking lot cart functions.
• Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age‑restricted areas.

Work is primarily on hard surfaces and may require bending, climbing, crawling, pulling, reaching, stooping, and climbing ladders or step stools. Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30pounds, and may require lifting and moving heavy or awkward objects with assistance. Exposure to cleaning agents, paint, chemicals, indoor and outdoor temperatures, and occasional extreme temperatures in freezers and coolers. Work is done both indoors and outdoors with routine exposure to weather conditions.

Starting from $16.00 per hour, with compensation varying based on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
