Rail Technician Orlando FL - Mobility Customer Service

Position Overview

Siemens Mobility is seeking to hire Rail Technicians to inspect, maintain, and repair trains at our Orlando, FL facility. In this role you will perform day‑to‑day running maintenance and unscheduled repair to a fleet of locomotives, coaches, and train sets via maintenance instructions from Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The work hours are 3rd shift (10 pm–6:30 am, including weekdays, weekends and holidays), but may include day or afternoon shift based on operational needs.

• Follow all maintenance instructions (where available) to enforce compliance and high‑quality standards.
• Verify that all defects, tasks, and incidents have been reported and detailed in CMMS for compliance, issue tracking, and closure.
• Provide body, welding, and paint repair to locomotives, coaches, and train sets.
• Keep workstations and work areas clean and free of debris at all times.
• Develop a working relationship with the customer as an employee and representative of Siemens Mobility.
• Maintain compliance with all Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) safety rules, laws, and regulations.
• Collaborate with leadership as needed on site issues, systems, and related facility operations.
• Perform other functions as needed, including forklift operation and daily cleaning operations.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in a railroad or related technical field. Technical training may be considered for candidates with less experience.
• Detailed knowledge of technical aspects of rolling stock/depot is an advantage.

• Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Climb stairs, steps, and ladders; work on elevated platforms.
• Lapse and move up to 40 pounds.
• Perform tasks requiring close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus.
• Push and pull objects; use hand and finger manipulation.
• Operate forklifts, golf carts, yard buggies, etc.
• Hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds, with or without a communications radio.

The base salary range for this position in Orlando, FL is $52,400 – $70,500. The actual salary offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
