Job Overview
Floor Tech – responsible for floor and carpet care duties at Orlando International Airport Terminal
C. Shift: 10:00pm – 6:30am. Pay Rate: $17.60 per hour, full‑time with benefits.
- Scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extracting, and mopping floors.
- Reviewing assignments with Supervisor.
- Gathering necessary equipment and products.
- Wearing safety belts and using wet floor signs at all times.
- Informing lead person of completed assignments and any issues that prevent completion or result in substandard work.
- Adhering strictly to all company safety rules and regulations.
- Maintaining company vehicles in a safe, neat, and orderly condition.
- Attending periodic training and safety meetings.
- Following directions, building maps, and performing work per instructions.
- Basic floor care duties and responsibilities.
- Operation of floor care equipment (automatic scrubber, buffer, shampoo machine, extractor, wet vacuum, carpet pile lifter, vacuum).
- Proper use and application of floor care products.
- Good listening and verbal communication skills.
- English language proficiency as required.
High School Diploma or GED. 1–3 years of experience in commercial facilities and building maintenance.
Requirements- Pass criminal background check.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50pounds.
- Occupational safety compliance with safety glasses where required.
Employees may stand, walk, sit for long periods, use hands to handle tools, reach with arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to safely install rigging/lifting devices and adjust visual focus as needed.
