Janitor, Cleaning Services, Commercial Cleaning
Starting hourly rate of $15.00/hour. Must have open availability, including days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Overview: To maintain environmental and infection control standards within The Crayola Experience. Employees perform and oversee janitorial tasks to keep the building clean and safe.
Responsibilities- Cleans and services restrooms.
- Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors and stairways.
- Gathers and disposes of rubbish and waste materials.
- Cleans windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Dusts items such as furniture, file cabinets, and windowsills using treated dust mittens, cloths, or hand-cleaning items.
- Maintains an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies.
- May perform snow removal and salting duties at entrance ways.
- Assists with evacuations and emergencies as needed.
- Determines cleaning assignments daily based on visitor volume.
- Monitors activity areas for cleanliness and adapts facilitation based on visitor needs.
- Prior experience cleaning a family attraction, institutional, or educational setting preferred.
- Strong oral, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow detailed directions and complete tasks quickly and effectively.
- Prompt and regular attendance required.
- Good command of English, both written and verbal.
- First Aid and CPR certification and familiarity with infectious material clean-up and removal.
Frequently required to sit, talk, and hear. Occasionally required to walk, use hands and fingers to operate tools or controls, and reach with hand and arms. Must frequently lift and/or move over 40 pounds. Appropriate vision required for close focus.
