Maintenance Technician

* Job Description:

* This position is responsible for building maintenance with some exposure to machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic toots, production machines, and other equipment using hand and power tools. Performs preventative maintenance and repairs to all building systems and facility grounds. Will be required to fill in for various union positions as the business need requires. Role could be performed by an employee with a minimum of a high school education or equivalent.

The applicant must be detail oriented and have basic math skills. Applicant must be able to work independently but toward the goals of the business. They must be able to comprehend both written and verbal instruction, have a good attendance record, and work safely

** Shift:**  (5) Days a week,  _Monday-Friday_ , 8-hour shifts from  
** 6:00am - 2:30pm*
* Day position.

** Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:*
* -Dismantle, inspect, replace defective parts, lubricate, and reassemble machines and other building equipment.

-Computer skills include use of tablet, email, and other basic business systems.

-Perform a range of carpentry work such as construction of bins, racks, shelves, pallets, shipping crates. Construct and alter office furniture and equipment.

-Perform plumbing work such as repairing piping systems, installing, or altering existing lines, and repairing/replacing toilets, leaks, valves, traps, etc.

-Various janitorial duties.

-Patch and repair masonry. Prepare forms and mix and pour concrete for repairs or minor construction or alteration including floor cracks.

-Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.

-Must have experience with both welding and Mechanical assembly.

-Will be required to assist with production of Baxter equipment when needed, in multiple areas including but not limited to proofers, mini rack ovens, and full-size rack ovens.

-Take out garbage and arrange for garbage and recycling removal from the premises.

Working Conditions:

* -100% onsite role in an office and manufacturing environment.

-Ability Lifting up to 50 lbs.

-Work both inside and outside during all seasons.

-Ability to work on knees, ladders, sky jack, and climb roof.

** Compensation Information:*
* $21.13- $25.09 hourly depending on experience.
