PositionWeatherization Field Technician – Oshkosh. The Weatherization Department is accepting applications for a full‑time Field Technician. This position installs weatherization materials in homes and directs daily activities of onsite co‑workers.
Responsibilities- Record activities and perform data entry of work.
- Direct the daily activities of an assigned Weatherization Specialist.
- Provide support and on‑the‑job training for Weatherization Specialists.
- Coordinate with Energy Auditors and QA Inspectors on customer education and job‑site supervision.
- Deliver weatherization services using effective and efficient work practices.
- Use building science equipment and technology appropriately.
- Practice proper health and safety work practices and follow guidance in the Weatherization Field Guide.
- Recognize and address missed opportunities on work orders to limit call‑back corrections and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 12–18 months of previous work‑related experience.
- State of WI DI DHS asbestos and lead safe work certification.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, under strong/unpleasant odors, exposure to dust, toxic substances, chemical irritants (within legal exposure limits), extreme heat or cold.
- Ability to work at heights of 15–20 feet.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds infrequently.
- Ability to climb in, out of, and up to assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Valid driver’s license held for 3+ years with an acceptable driving record; must be able to use an agency vehicle.
- Pass acceptable drug screen, physical, and comprehensive background check.
- Maintain highest level of confidentiality with information obtained.
- Possess an understanding of poverty and be non‑judgmental with those served.
