Key Job Responsibilities- Assists in the supervision and coordination of work within the unit to meet the needs of the university, its employees, and visitors.
- Ensures buildings are maintained by touring common and public spaces, tracking and identifying needed repairs, and communicating with building managers and department administrators.
- Coordinates and/or performs scheduled services, administers preventive maintenance programs, inspects facilities to determine repair or replacement needs, and performs emergency and routine maintenance on campus facilities.
- Schedules logistics and secures resources for the completion of established projects.
- Implements unit operational policies and procedures, and provides training and feedback to ensure safety and compliance.
- Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full‑time equivalent (FTE) employees.
- Develops and schedules unit operational work plans.
$60,000 - $64,000
Required Qualifications- Associate's degree in construction management, facilities maintenance, or a related field, or successful completion of a trade program related to construction or facilities maintenance.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in construction or facilities maintenance.
- 5+ years of work experience in construction or facilities maintenance.
- Experience working as a project or team leader.
- Experience working in a higher education setting.
