Facilities Maintenance Technician with Custodial Duties

Facility Maintenance Technician with Custodial Duties to help maintain a safe, clean, and fully operational environment. This position combines hands-on maintenance responsibilities with routine cleaning tasks to support the overall function and appearance of our facility.

Responsibilities Maintenance & Repairs Inspect facility to identify repair and maintenance needs

Perform routine preventive maintenance (filters, belts, lubrication, etc.)Troubleshoot and assist with repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems

Complete basic carpentry tasks including drywall repair, painting, flooring, and door/window hardware

Maintain and repair building systems and equipment (motors, pumps, fans, etc.)Keep accurate maintenance logs and maintain inventory of tools and parts

Custodial Duties Perform daily cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting)
Sanitize restrooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces

Empty trash and recycling bins Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces

Restock restroom supplies

Respond quickly to spills or safety hazards

Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and power washers

General & Grounds Support Assist with exterior upkeep including walkways and landscaping

Remove trash and maintain building appearance

Support team members with maintenance and cleaning projects

Safety & Compliance Follow all safety guidelines and OSHA standards

Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE)
Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred

Experience in maintenance, custodial work, or carpentry preferred

Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems is a plus Familiarity with hand and power tools

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various conditions

Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Valid driver’s license preferred
