Facility Operations Manager
Responsible for coordinating, training, and leading temporary/part-time staff and volunteers; overseeing daily grounds and facility maintenance; supporting league programs, special events, rentals, concessions operations, and facility preparation at Jack
C. Fisher Park and other designated Parks & Recreation facilities. Ensures safe, productive, efficient, and customer-oriented operations in support of departmental goals.
Starting pay $27.8307 hourly. Provided benefits include but are not limited to health insurance, group life insurance, wellness program, and CERS retirement administered by the Kentucky Public Pensions Authority. Paid time off includes vacation, sick time, and holidays (for eligible employees).
Examples of Duties· Serves as lead crew member, overseeing seasonal grounds and facility maintenance, custodial services, and operational support for leagues/rentals.
· Oversees set-ups and teardowns for programs, rentals, and recreational events; supervises grounds and facility activities during events; assists with safety and evacuation procedures.
· Provides professional and administrative services including opening/closing facilities, preparing bank deposits, supervising concession operations, preparing reports/documents, coordinating activities, and assisting with deliveries and supply inventory.
· Performs grounds, equipment, property, and facility maintenance including inspections, routine and preventative maintenance, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, custodial duties, snow/ice removal, and equipment operation.
· Trains staff on safe and proper equipment use; ensures safety procedures and policies are followed; carries out special projects as assigned.
Typical QualificationsA High School diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of two years of related experience in facility operations or maintenance, parks and recreation, a recreational business or organization, or a customer-driven retail or restaurant environment. Supervisory experience is preferred. A valid driver's license is required, and employees must obtain CPR/First Aid certification, a Kentucky Pesticide Applicator License, categories 3 and 5, and a Kentucky CDL Class B within 11 months of employment.
