CSU Custodian​/Housekeeper

Job Summary: The custodian/housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building both inside and out. This includes sweeping and mopping using cleaning solutions, brooms, and mops, as well as dusting offices. The custodian/housekeeper is also responsible for cleaning outside walkways and entrance ways and maintaining an inventory of supplies. Any major repairs needed should be reported to the supervisor. The custodian/housekeeper is also responsible for gathering and emptying waste cans, as well as cleaning, sanitizing, and deodorizing restrooms.

All tasks should be performed consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Hinds Behavioral Health Services.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in building maintenance. Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and products. Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull. Must have a valid driver’s license in Mississippi and proof of auto insurance. This position has been determined to have an occasional or very low risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
