Job Title: Maintenance Specialist- HVAC

Job Purpose: To perform maintenance, repair, and renovation work in school buildings and facilities, including electrical fixtures, and to perform related duties and general maintenance work as assigned.

Knowledge and

Skills:

• Must be able to follow oral and written directions
• Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, supervisors, administrators, and the school community
• Must be skilled in the performance of one or more trades
• Frequent walking, standing, lifting (up to 50-75 pounds)
• Ability to tolerate inside and outside environmental conditions
• Ability to use all units of measurements
• Ability to communicate maintenance and/or repair problems as needed
• Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and resolve electrical issues

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Pass a background check
• Preference - HVAC experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery; performs general carpentry work; handles plumbing; maintains physical structures; performs air conditioning and electrical wiring; and installs and maintains general fixtures in school buildings in accordance with blueprints, manuals, building codes, and safety regulations, using hand tools and other equipment.
• Inspects machinery and mechanical equipment for defects.
• Work in collaboration with other maintenance, custodial, and building/grounds staff.
• Other assigned duties as assigned

Terms of Employment: 245 Days

Evaluation: The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation
