Building and Grounds Assistant (Custodial/Janitorial Department)
Hourly rate: $15.85
Shift: First Shift (Monday to Friday, 4:30am to 1:00pm)
Hours:
40 per week
- Sweep, mop and dust rooms and hallways.
- Clean windows and perform general room cleaning.
- Vacuum and shampoo carpets; strip and wax floors as needed.
- Sanitize restrooms and dispose of trash, debris, and litter.
- Empty trash receptacles in university buildings and grounds.
- Assist with events and maintain safe indoor/outdoor surfaces during inclement weather.
- Pick up, deliver equipment and supplies, and perform cleaning duties in dining halls.
- Provide additional support for campus needs as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- No specific experience required; a driver’s license may be required.
- Must pass a post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and materials.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
