Building and Grounds Assistant; Custodial​/Janitorial

Job Summary

Performs a variety of custodial/ janitorial tasks to maintain the University’s facilities during the third shift (Sunday through Thursday, 10:00pm to 6:00am).

• Sweep, mop, dust, and clean rooms and hallways; general cleaning of rooms.
• Clean windows, vacuum, shampoo carpets, strip and wax floors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms.
• Pick up trash, debris, and litter from buildings and grounds; empty trash receptacles.
• Assist with maintaining safe indoor/outdoor surfaces, including during inclement weather.
• May support events, deliver equipment and supplies, and perform cleaning in dining areas as needed.
• Assist with other related campus duties as assigned.

• High‑school diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.
• Driver’s license may be required.

Must successfully pass a Post‑Offer Pre‑Employment (POPE) physical.

• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.

• Criminal background check required.
• Position participates in E‑Verify.
