Summary:
Performs a variety of tasks related to maintaining the University’sbuildings, facilities, and grounds. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with some weekend rotation. (Weekend rotations are primarily during the academic year.)
- Picks up trash and/or litter from University buildings and grounds; empties trash receptacles.
- May sweep and mop rooms and hallways; may dust and perform general cleaning of rooms; may clean windows.
- May vacuum and shampoo carpets; may strip and wax floors; mayclean and sanitize restrooms.
- May mow, trim, and rake grounds; may remove shrubs andtrees.
- May sow grass and renovate turf areas; may apply herbicides tolawn.
- May pick up and/or deliver equipment and supplies.
- May perform cleaning/washing duties in dining hall dishroom orpot and pan area.
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- No experience required.
- May require driver's license.
- This position requires the ability to successfully pass aPost-Offer Pre-Employment (POPES) physical.
- Knowledge of the use of either cleaning equipment/materials orlawn equipment/materials
- Ability to understand and follow directions
