We have an opportunity for an Senior Accountant to join our team and provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparing financial statements.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and associated documentation. This role assists with the formulation and execution of internal controls and policies within the Finance and Accounting functions of the business. The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing balance sheet, revenue, expense, and payroll account reconciliations, as well as executing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Duties and Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:- Prepare and record standard journal entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Must be familiar with cycle counts and cost accounting functions in a manufacturing/distributing environment.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions to maintain and balance accounts, resolving any discrepancies.
- Assist with the month-end closing process, including conducting research, making correction journal entries for discrepancies, preparing closing journal entries, posting accrual entries, and preparing required management reports.
- Assist in preparing assigned financial statements and related footnotes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Aid and backup to other areas within the finance and accounting departments.
- Assist and support GAAP reporting.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational and professional development opportunities.
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with the established schedule and input from the accounting team and distribute approved statements.
- Prepare assigned audit work papers and assist with audit requests. Assist with the preparation of necessary financial statements for auditors.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Accountant role
- Manufacturing or distribution experience including cost accounting and inventory
