Student Aide - Access and Disability Services

General Function

• Provide general assistance as determined by the department.

• High school diploma.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with ADS staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills and quick learner.
• Patience and empathy; maintaining confidentiality in all our work.

• Greet/direct students, visitors, staff and faculty and provide customer service at the front desk.
• Answer phone calls and assist callers, or messages through TEAMS.
• Schedule appointments in our proprietary software system and make Custom Requests as appropriate.
• Provide information about ADS processes and events.
• Perform data entry tasks - Sort and distribute mail.
• Scan or print documents as needed.
• Keep office supplies organized and stocked.
• Assist staff with administrative tasks.
• Help with organizing ADS events.
• Being bilingual in Spanish or American Sign Language is an added advantage.

Assists a student with a disability/disabilities in a lab class; may include providing manual manipulation of papers, books, other lab work as needed.
