Position Overview
Serves as the primary in-person or virtual contact to the public at the Admissions Outreach Front Desk. The role supports department events and responds to new student inquiries via phone, text, and email.
Key Responsibilities- Assist prospective students by checking them in for appointments, joining the drop‑in queue, or applying for admissions.
- Answer phone calls and make appropriate referrals while providing exceptional customer service.
- Assist the Manager with hiring, training, and scheduling of front desk staff.
- Direct day‑to‑day activities of front desk student staff in the absence of department leadership.
- Respond to student requests and inquiries through Salesforce CRM.
- Maintain the Admissions Outreach case queue in Salesforce.
- Conduct campus tours with prospective students and families.
- Update front desk support materials, SOPs, and information folders monthly.
- Support office and team members with special projects and events.
- Assist Manager and Coordinators with event planning and coordination.
- Conduct monthly inventory summary of all marketing and promotional materials within the department.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Work is primarily indoor and sedentary.
Equipment/Tools UsedStandard office equipment, including computers.
SupervisionUnder direct supervision of the Manager of Admissions Outreach. Receives oral and written instructions. May receive direction from the Director of Admissions, Coordinator – High School Recruitment Initiatives, and Coordinator – Adult Recruitment Initiatives.
Qualifications- Education:
High school graduate or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of two years working in a general office or customer service setting. Experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Experience using Banner SIS or Salesforce CRM is a plus. Bilingual preferred.
