Qualifications:

• Ability to use discretion and good judgment
• Ability to be fair, friendly and consistent
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with students and staff
• Knowledge and willingness to enforce school rules and regulations
• Ability to react constructively to unique and emergency situations

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor student behavior and movement in hallways, cafeterias and locker rooms
• Check entrances and exits regularly
• Check bathrooms before school, after school and each hour during the school day
• Help direct visitors entering the school
• Escort students from their class as requested by administrators
• Help direct students during fire alarms and lock downs
• The supervisor will be expected to perform such duties assigned by the administrator in designed areas: hall locations, common areas, cafeteria, washrooms, locker rooms, outside areas and parking lots

Supervision:
The student supervisors are under the supervision of the assistant principal

Terms Of Employment: 10-month. Salary and benefits to be established by the agreement between the board of education and the united support staff council. Position pay range: support staff contract - salary schedules position benefit information: support staff contract - benefits
