This is a dual role working as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager/Wealth Advisor within the Wealth Management Department and the Bank Investment Officer for the Bank. As the Fixed Income Portfolio Manager/Wealth Advisor, the successful candidate will be an integral member of the investment team, assisting the Chief Investment Officer in overseeing the investment of the Wealth Management Department’s allocation to fixed income.
As the Bank Investment Officer, the successful candidate will assist the Bank’s Chief Financial Officer with managing the Bank’s fixed income portfolio.

FIXED INCOME PORTFOLIO MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES- As a Portfolio Manager, you will be a member of our investment committee and will be responsible for assisting in the selection of approved fixed income securities used to construct and manage client investment portfolios.
- Perform thorough market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities in fixed income securities, mutual funds, and ETFs.
- Conduct fixed income research, make recommendations to the investment committee regarding the purchase and sale of publicly traded securities, and be engaged in both model and individual portfolio construction.
- Partner with relationship managers in communicating investment strategies and providing an investment update.
- Trade client portfolios and collaborate with the Chief Investment Officer during this process.
- Help establish appropriate trading procedures and practices to ensure efficient workflow for fixed income portfolio management.
- Assist in the selection of bank permissible fixed income securities.
- Facilitate and execute the purchase and sale of fixed income securities.
- Perform applicable credit due diligence at the time of purchase, as well as ongoing credit due diligence.
- Monitor and maintain the relationships with the bank’s approved brokers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑motivated with excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of fixed income issues and how they relate to the overall investment environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to clients and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Progress towards a master’s degree or CFA designation preferred.
- At least five (5) years of work experience in bond trading and portfolio management.
- Comprehensive understanding of fixed income issues and how they relate to the overall investment environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel when required.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to perform essential job functions, including prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
