Overview
The Village of Palatine Police Department is seeking a part-time Street Community Service Officer.
Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for parking enforcement, report writing, traffic direction, animal calls, and citizen assist.
Qualifications- High School diploma is required.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License, and must possess and maintain a valid Illinois driver's license within six (6) months from hire date.
- Must be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
- Requires a strong work ethic.
- Bilingual and/or previous law enforcement experience is a plus, but not required.
$25.98 per hour.
HoursFor year 2026, duty hours will be based on a 28-day schedule working 5 hours per day (25 hours per week). Hours for the position will be 6:45 AM - 11:45 AM.
