CompensationAt S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $ $128,084 - $. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training.
This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

The Manager
- Procurement is responsible for overseeing the purchasing of value stream parts to support business operations. The Manager collaborates with internal stakeholders to optimize part procurement processes to mitigate risks, and drive cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery standards. Additionally, they lead and develop a procurement team, implement best practices, and leverage data-driven insights to enhance purchasing decisions.
- Procurement Function Leadership: Oversee value stream procurement execution, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing. Manages Buyers, procurement transactions processes including purchase order generation and closing, supplier purchase order acceptance rates, reschedules/changes, expediting for production materials, critical part shortage problem solving with suppliers and escalations to strategic sourcing per escalation standard operating procedure. Work collaboratively with material production management to root cause and problem solve material shortages.
- Supplier Part Supply Performance: Own day-to-day supplier part execution management, ensuring on-time delivery targets are met. Identify top material shortage opportunities and work with material execution team to improve planning and suppliers to achieve delivery. Lead monthly part supply scorecards to track key metrics such as short ordering, quality, responsiveness, and costs.
- Buyer Skill Development: Train and Mentor Buyers; regularly monitor performance and implement training for process reference with detailed tips and associated checklist for proficiency tracking and buyer growth.
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team. Foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement within the team. Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of team members, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. Provide thought leadership and direction to the procurement team, staying abreast of the latest tools and technologies to improve Value Stream procurement function continuously.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience working in purchasing or a related role in the manufacturing industry.
- Possess a deep subject matter expertise in procurement processes, including requisitioning, purchasing, and supplier management.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles, including inventory management, demand forecasting, and logistics.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, compliance standards, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Good negotiation skills with the ability to understand business priorities and pursue beneficial outcomes in discussions with suppliers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal departments and external vendors.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
