Based in Palatine, Illinois | Hiring:
Part-Time Weekend Center Support Associate Pay: $17.50 per hour

Schedule:

6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday mornings

Our Weekend Center Support Associates help out with various responsibilities around the center and support clients, visitors, volunteers, and staff however possible. You'll maintain accurate activity logs, quickly respond to emergency situations, and play a valuable part in smooth, successful days at our non-profit!

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Our Weekend Center Support Associate works part-time on Saturday and Sunday mornings to help keep the center running smoothly and assist during any emergencies. You'll greet visitors as they arrive, form positive connections with clients, help volunteers find the right places to go and people to talk to, and coordinate with staff to help make the daily operations seamless. Attentively, you'll accurately record daily activities and document any incidents that occurred during your shift.

You'll answer questions, address concerns, and swiftly respond to any emergencies. Assisting with additional responsibilities as needed, you'll make a positive impact every weekend!

WEEKEND CENTER SUPPORT ASSOCIATE

QUALIFICATIONS:

An open mind to all identities and the ability to respectfully work with multicultural communities

Ability to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with staff, volunteers, and stakeholders

Ability to form relationships and build rapport with people from various cultural and socioeconomic groups

Willingness to proactively seek constructive feedback and adapt accordingly

Proficiency with computers, Microsoft products, and online databases (or a willingness to be trained)
Passion for helping underserved communities

Willingness to perform additional duties outside of the job description as needed

Active listening skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities would be valuable. Creative problem-solving skills and strategies for healthily managing stressors would be beneficial. A commitment to being there for all individuals in the center and maintaining confidentiality would also be ideal.
