Job Description
We are seeking a caring and qualified Substitute School Nurse to provide healthcare services to students in the absence of the regular school nurse. The Substitute School Nurse will play a crucial role in promoting student health and well‑being.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care for students as needed
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Conduct health screenings and assessments as needed
- Communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding student health concerns
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Adhere to all school health policies and procedures
- Valid nursing license (RN, LPN, or ISBE licensed nurse)
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience working with pediatric or school‑aged populations preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
This is a part‑time, on‑call position with flexible hours.
