Mechatronics & Robotics Technician – JLL
Job OverviewAs a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will use your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will also install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians.
ResponsibilitiesPromote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Complete preventive maintenance routines and document them.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, etc.
- Maintain positive working relationships across all Operations facility departments.
- Track and store department inventory.
- Move up to 49 lbs; stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
- Travel up to 20% of the time.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and/or holidays.
- 2+ years of experience in repair of material handling equipment.
- 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Associate’s degree or higher from a vocational school or college focused on mechanical or electrical fields.
- 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
- 1+ year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
- 1+ year of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
- Experience with MHE safety standards according to OEM and other standards.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
- Physical ability to lift parts and tools up to 49 lbs (average 20 lbs).
Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
- Lifting parts and tools up to ~20 lbs, occasionally to 49 lbs.
- Working in small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures.
- Noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, wet or uneven surfaces.
- Occasional work at heights.
- Push/pull wheeled equipment and carts up to 100+ lbs.
- Manipulate awkward or bulky equipment parts; work in cramped positions under/behind machinery.
Estimated compensation: $60,320.00 – $61,547.20 USD per year.
