Position Title: Nurse Practitioner – Outpatient Neurology

Hours:

40 per week

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 hour shifts;
No inpatient responsibilities or call requirements

• Independently manage follow‑up neurology patients under established clinical protocols
• Perform focused neurological histories and examinations, assessing disease progression
• Manage chronic neurological conditions in neuromuscular and movement disorder sub‑specialties
• Order, review, and interpret routine diagnostics including laboratory tests, MRI/CT imaging, and EEG reports
• Initiate, titrate, and monitor medications, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes and side‑effect management
• Provide timely triage of patient calls, portal messages, and urgent outpatient concerns, escalating when appropriate
• Deliver comprehensive patient education on diagnoses, treatment plans, and long‑term disease management strategies
• Coordinate referrals for imaging, therapy, rehabilitation services, and subspecialty care to support care continuity
• Partner with physicians to maintain efficient clinic flow and shared follow‑up coverage
• Support documentation, adherence to clinical protocols, and participation in outpatient quality improvement initiatives

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner, preferably with experience in neurology or a related field
• Strong clinical assessment and independent decision‑making skills
• Ability to manage chronic, complex patient populations in an outpatient setting
• Excellent communication and patient education skills

Pay Range: $54.90 – $82.35 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and training.
