The Business Office Assistant supports the Business Office Manager (BOM) with the day-to-day operations of the business office while helping ensure accurate billing, collections, admissions verification, and administrative functions. This role serves as a key resource for residents, families, and staff and will provide coverage for the Business Office Manager as needed.
Responsibilities- Assist with daily business office operations and administrative functions
- Provide coverage for the Business Office Manager during absences
- Support billing and collections processes
- Supervise and support front desk reception staff
- Collaborate with facility leadership and corporate teams to resolve billing and payer issues
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Business Office Manager experience preferred
- Knowledge of Medicaid application processes and submissions preferred
- Experience with insurance verification and payer eligibility reviews preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare billing systems preferred
