DutiesUnder supervision, the Telephone Operator is often the first contact and first impression of the college. The Operator controls an attendant console to relay incoming and outgoing calls, directs calls to proper areas, reports telephone operational issues to management and perform clerical duties. The Telephone Operator is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that promote student success and a positive customer relations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others may be assigned:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 0-3 months related experience and/or training.
Qualifications- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Highly effective vocal communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to maintain composure and remain positive during times of large call volumes.
- Moderate typing and computer skills.

Regular hours:
Monday through Friday 1–5 p.m. Summer hours:
Monday through Thursday 12–5 p.m. Hours may be adjusted.
$15.46 per hour, plus exceptional benefits.
