Interpersonal Skills, Organizational Skills, Microsoft Office Skills, Data Entry, Run Errands, Good Judgement, Ability to support students through individualized academic assistance, Ability to simplify and clearly explain complex concepts, Cleaning and maintenance, Lab preparation, Equipment distribution and maintenance, Hardware/software installation, Ability to assist students with basic lab procedures and equipment use, Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Qualifications-The student hired for this position should know how to:- Effectively Communicate:
Student must have effective and clear verbal and written communication (including listening skills). - Demonstrate Critical Thinking:
Students must engage in critical thinking (problem solving, decision-making, applied knowledge, creativity) to initiate and implement solutions to problems. - Participate as a Productive Member of a Team:
Student must use teamwork skills (relationship building, interpersonal skills) and become a contributor to the department. - Utilize Information & Technology Effectively:
Student must have current technology skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, etc.). - Implement Self-Management

Special Instructions to Applicants:During the Fall and Spring, student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week and must be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours. During the Summer, holiday break and spring break student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 25 hours per week. Summer only, students must be enrolled in 3 or more credit hours.
Student employees must always maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
