Work Study Clerical Student Employee / Orientation Leader (Academic Advising)
STUDENT MUST HAVE WORK STUDY AWARD! During the Fall and Spring, student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week and must be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours. During the Summer, holiday break and spring break student employees are allowed to work a maximum of 25 hours per week. Summer only, students must be enrolled in 3 or more credit hours.
Student employees must always maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. This position may require a background check. Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Flexible hours ranging from 8:30am – 6pm on Mondays and Tuesdays; 8:30am – 5:00pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Occasionally until 7:30pm. Must work one Saturday a year, typically in mid August.
Responsibilities- Greeting and assisting students, parents, and guests in person and over the phone.
- Providing accurate information and excellent customer service to all visitors.
- Answering basic questions and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff.
- Supporting the preparation and delivery of orientation activities and materials.
- Helping new students navigate tools such as Student Planner.
- Performing general clerical and front desk duties to support Advising staff.
- Assisting with events as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfort speaking with students, parents, and staff both in person and over the phone.
- Ability to multitask and maintain a positive attitude in a busy office environment.
- Dependable, professional, and eager to learn.
