Main Campus

Support the goals and mission of the college; provide quality instruction to students; and communicate with your department chair or administrator. The responsibilities of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography instructor are to provide hands‑on and classroom instruction in the use of clinical sonographic equipment. Duties include various faculty responsibilities; it is preferred that the role will serve as program coordinator.

Bachelor's Degree in content area required. Appropriate certification through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(S) required. Must possess minimum of 2000 professional work hours in the field. At least two years of full‑time clinical experience as registered diagnostic medical sonographer in abdominal, OB/GYN, or vascular specialties. Teaching experience preferred.

This position requires a strong commitment to teaching while incorporating technology and innovation in the delivery of instruction for student success. The ability to infuse new approaches into the teaching/learning process is essential. Candidates must be able to work actively and collegially with faculty within and outside of the department.
