Machinist – LCAC 100 Program

Position:
Machinist performs machining, refurbishment, precision repair, dimensional inspection, tooling support, dynamic balancing, and operational testing in support of the U.S. Navy’s Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program on‑base.

• Conduct machining, refurbishment, precision repair, dimensional inspection, tooling support, dynamic balancing and operational testing
• Support depot‑level component repair, balancing, machining, and return to service verification
• Perform routine work with limited to no supervision or instruction
• Ability to take on new assignments with general instructions
• Apply industry knowledge to various programs and projects ensuring successful completion
• Use knowledge of industry standard policies, procedures and practical applications to complete job tasks
• Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned

• High School Degree Required

• Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain an interim clearance required
• Matching certification preferred

• Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in similar position
• Experience and training in safety
• Knowledge and experience in dynamic balancing and precision measurement tools

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to hold yourself and others accountable on short‑term and long‑term goals
• Ability to install, assemble, and configure new mechanical or refrigeration systems
• Ability to troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and fix issues
• Ability to work with various levels of personnel
• Use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word, Excel, and Power Point

• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week with additional hours, as required
