Maintenance Technician

Primary objective is to perform general maintenance for the Crosswinds Casino and Resort, following the direction of the Facilities Manager. Team members will uphold company policies and procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for all team members, patrons, and vendors.

• Provide excellent customer experience and actively participate in promotional customer service programs.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs of minor problems throughout the complex as directed by the supervisor.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment and facility structures as assigned.
• Operate company, utility, and specialized equipment safely.
• Maintain the grounds of the facility, including snow removal.
• Assist with deep cleaning of the facility exterior, kitchen, and ensure grounds are well‑kept and free of trash and debris.
• Store and maintain records of sensitive business documentation and dispose of such documentation in accordance with policy.
• Work in outdoor conditions that may be hot, cold, or otherwise inclement.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations and maintain all work areas safely, using appropriate personal protective equipment and keeping areas free of hazards.
• Ensure additional cleanliness of facility areas: pick up debris/litter, empty wastebaskets, clean ashtrays, and remove and transport garbage/recycling; provide laundry services and stock cleaning supplies.
• Regularly lift, push, pull or move up to 50 lb and occasionally perform tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, etc.
• Maintain the department’s uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements.
• Attend all departmental and company training programs or meetings as directed.
• Reliably attend work and maintain punctuality.
• Understand and adhere to performance standards, company policies and procedures, casino policies, gaming laws, security procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Accomplish any additional duties reasonably requested by supervisors or management to promote productivity.

• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Maintain a professional demeanor in a high‑stress environment.
• Apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Be reliable, punctual, and collaborative with co‑workers and managers.
• Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Work effectively in noisy environments and in the presence of second‑hand smoke.
• Communicate clearly with co‑workers, management, and guests.

• High School diploma or GED with at least one year of mechanical work experience.
• Licenses or certifications in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Construction, or related fields.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule to meet casino requirements.
• Ability to recognize problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Demonstrate good judgment and positive interactions with management, co‑workers, and guests.
