- Enforce the policies and procedures of the library.
- Proactively engage with patrons to address issues in order to quickly diffuse situations and minimize disruption.
- Escort disruptive patrons from the library’s premises, call police when necessary, and write incident reports.
- Interact effectively with all age groups, including teenage library patrons.
- Patrol the Library’s premises and provide security for all areas of the library.
- Assist in behavior correction, crisis de‑escalation, and emergency management.
- Assist with building and grounds, keep property clean, answer back door, and assist with event set‑up.
- Three years of work experience and high school diploma or bachelor’s degree
- Experience in law enforcement or security, preferred.
- CPR Certification, preferred.
- De‑escalation training, preferred.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
