As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care and supporting our orthodontist throughout the treatment journey. You'll help create an exceptional patient experience while contributing to a welcoming and efficient clinical environment.
Schedule (days/hours)Monday: 11:30 to 6:30
Tuesday: 8 to 5
Wednesday: 8 to 5:30
Thursday: 10 to 7
- Handle all bracket adjustments
- Prep and finish all bonds after doctor places brackets and other appliances
- Handle all aligners along with other procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for orthodontic procedures.
- Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments and procedures.
- Take digital radiographs, photographs, and intraoral scans as needed.
- Change archwires, ligatures, and orthodontic appliances as permitted by state regulations.
- Provide patients and families with oral hygiene instructions and appliance care education.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols.
- Accurately document patient treatment and update electronic health records.
- Manage inventory and ensure operatories are stocked and organized.
- Collaborate with the clinical and administrative team to provide a seamless patient experience.
- Meet all state specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain before start date)
- Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient care
- 2+ years of orthodontic experience
$26-$30/hour
